Best Review:I started out a long time ago with a classic Flex. Upgraded to the Charge HR eventually. I never really used it. When the Alta came out I was in love but missed the heart rate feature, but loved that the bands came off the tracker. Now… I eventually bought a Charge 2, and that tracker is AMAZING. However… if you’re looking for a smaller screen that’s a little more simplistic while keeping the heart rate feature, Alta HR is for you. Overall not a huge difference between the Charge 2 and Alta HR, in terms of what they can do. The Charge 2 has more options on the screen itself, where in the app, the Alta HR can do the same things. The Charge 2 has a bump where the heart rate monitor is and it can be uncomfortable on the wrist. The Alta HR is much slimmer while keeping the heart rate. If you’re looking for a slimmer size that is more versatile, I would pick the Alta HR.GO TO TOP

I bought the two pack for my wife and I direct from the company for $100. I’ve had a few other big name fitness trackers and returned them all. Not to say any of them weren’t good, I just didn’t think they were worth the price tag. This one however seems find that good balance between price and features. It’s not as in depth as some others and really I like the different approach Moov took to fitness tracking. No steps or stairs counting just basic activity level throughout the day. It has goals and medals and levels to achieve etc. It has social features which are kind of fun, but my use is for myself mostly and don’t really need to “compete” with anyone or prove I am more active than my friends on a daily basis.(or less active really). It requires NO charging which is one of the biggest selling points that drew me in. Not having to take it off and plug it in was important to both me and my wife. Battery life is TBD but for the price of a watch battery I’m back up and running. No worrying about internal battery recharge life or something going wrong. Simples and easy. I do NOT consider myself a world class athlete, just a dad who’s metabolism isn’t what it used to be and trying to get ahead and repair the damage I’ve done when I was younger and could do/eat (or more importantly drink) as I pleased.GO TO TOP

The Gear Fit2 was also a no-go in the shower. Frankly, what is the point of an IP rating if it’s below the threshold of shower safety. There were so many conflicting messages on this too. Some claimed that exposing to a shower may not kill it but it can wreak havoc with some of the sensors. I agree with the sensor damage. My Fit2, after being left on in the shower, was unable to come close to accurately measuring “Floors”. If I climbed one flight of stairs sometimes it wouldn’t register and other times it would register 10 or 20 floors. Ultimately, the fact that I could not use it for swimming and the loss of floor counting accuracy is why I switched to a Garmin Vivosmart HR.
The Fit2 Pro can go swimming with you. It can track your swim in several ways. It comes with a Speedo app that I tried out today. My pool is 32′ long and that is about the minimum length you can set it for to measure laps (10 meters). After you set that, you can set your workout to time or distance and once it starts, it locks the screen so it will not be affected until you finish. My first test today was accurate to 10 meters and it successfully measured my laps. It is supposed to measure strokes as well but I have not tried it. I’ll update this review when I’ve tried it.GO TO TOP

This fitness tracker was purchased for my 10 year old son, he had it for about 2 weeks now.
It earned a 5 stars for the following reasons:
1- Price, during my research, I have not found a known brand that could give the same set of features at a price this good.
2- Feature rich tracking band.
3- Ease of use, either from the band or using the Huawei wear or Huawei health.
4- Comfortable and light weight.
5- Build quality seems to be great.
Even the flaws that were mentioned by other reviewers are mainly issues that can be corrected over time either by a firmware or apps updates, which usually happens with all new products on the market.GO TO TOP

I’d been looking into fitness trackers for some time now but couldn’t find one that was cost effective for what I needed, until now. I’ve been wearing my Vivosmart 3 for a week now and have been impressed! Below are the features that *I* cared about and why I gave this a 5 star rating..
– Fit – I’m a 5’7″ 170 lb. male, and this fits me just fine. They recommend the device remain snug about 1-1.5″ above your wrist for proper monitoring. The device fits fine with about 6 “notches” to spare. It’s also very lightweight and easy to forget it’s on my wrist.
– Heart Rate: Tracks well throughout the day, and it’s also pretty accurate. Using a HR monitor at the gym and comparing it to what the Vivosmart detected, they were within 2 BPM of each other. It also detects HR throughout the day for stress monitoring and for getting a general average.
– Steps\Distance: Went for a hike and used a separate app to track my trail\distance\time. I was shocked when the tracking app matched the Vivosmart distance tracking, 3.01 miles on both! I like the accuracy of distance traveled and the device seems to track steps very well.
– Sleep tracking – the band has a nice breakdown of light and deep sleep, but also lets you edit your times. If youre sitting idle before going to bed (perhaps watching TV), the inactivity shows as light sleep in the app, but you can alter that for when you know you actually hit the hay.
– Battery Life: I’ve gotten 4-5 days per charge, and charge time is quick.. typically under an hour
– Multifunctional – Tracking an activity is quick, just double tap to turn on the device, press and hold to get to activity tracking, and then choose a basic category, walk, run, cardio or strength training. What I like is for bike rides, I can choose cardio, I get all the fitness monitoring, but in the app I can categorize as a cycling activity, provide distance traveled, and the rest of the metrics fill in for me. I also like the fact that when I’m in the yard playing with my kid, I don’t need to choose a particular activity, it still monitor’s heartrate and such, so I get a feel for how much activity I get and how much general “moving” I do…GO TO TOP

I’ve used 2 other Polar models including the FT4 and the FT7 before getting this one and I have to say that I absolutely love this model. Some reviewers claim that the watch is too big but I barely notice it. I’ve included some of my favorite and not-so favorite features:
Comfortable bands that come in different colors
Nice larger face to read things by
Tracks lots of sports and activities that you can also customize
Tracks your sleep quality
Beeps at you if you’ve sat for too long to get moving again
Pretty accurate with whatever moving activities you’re doing
Syncs via Bluetooth with the phone app
Can plug it right into your computer to charge/update your info
To get the best activity monitoring, you need to use the HR monitor (like for non-walking activities like yoga, dancing, etc)

Sad to see the many negative experiences stated here, because I am thrilled with my little device, and here’s why:
This was my first foray into fitness wearables and, the sheer number of options is fairly overwhelming. I was at first intrigued with cheap models from no name brands but studying up on those revealed you’re not getting what you didn’t pay for, plus it seems the reviews may be suspect. So, decided to stick with the main names, Fitbit and Garmin as top players.
Knowing I needed to improve my health, especially with a sedentary desk job, I set about to do my research. Fitbit came to mind first, but I was put off by the many negative reviews. Maybe, like the bad reviews here, this is an industry plagued with hit and miss production, I don’t know, but I was surprised to learn that, generally, none of these wearable are highly accurate in what they track, so, best case scenario, you can expect to get a general sense of habits like activity and sleep and so forth.GO TO TOP
Best Waterproof Fitness Tracker
So far I am very happy it was very easy to setup once I found the app that was correct. The Bluetooth watch and app synced up easily. The heart rate monitor may not be accurate like other reviewers had stated I’m not sure I don’t have anything to compare it to. The text message alert and call alerts are nice but the watch doesn’t have a very long range from my phone so the Bluetooth disconnects. As soon as it is in range it reconnects on its own. I’m sure if I spent more than $30 I’d get a more for the money. I’ll update the review if mine stops working after a week or stops charging but I feel this little watch was worth $30. I added a photo. It’s a screen shot the app in the picture on the top left is the one you need to install. You can change the watch view from vertical to horazontal and it will save your settings to the watch so I don’t think you need Bluetooth for the alarm to go off since the setting saves. The text messages scroll across the watch screen so you can read them but the watch light shuts off before you can read the whole message so you just have to light it back up which it doesn’t bother me to do this but it might bother you. Idk if you can make it light up for longer periods of time yet but I wouldn’t want to so I can save the battery. Charging is easy. My watch came fully charged. I say take a chance it’s a fun watch.GO TO TOP
